Dès l'entrée nous découvrons une hôtesse passionnée par sa maison et desireuse de la faire partager à ses clients.
Une splendide demeure historique truffée d'objets authentiques qui renforcent la beauté de la maison.
Chambre avec caractère, excellente literie.
Petit déjeuner excellent avec produits locaux ou fait maison et de nouveau une hôtesse aux petits soins tout au long de celui ci.
Situation idéale avec parking gratuit devant la maison.

Amazing to stay in a 13th century building in excellent order, with all the facilities. Marie, our host & owner went above and beyond to welcome us and made us feel much at home. Highly recommend this accommodation.

Beautiful property, fantastic location. Marie and her husband could not have been more welcoming and attentive. This is certainly the place to stay if you're in Cordes Sur Ciel.

Quelle belle maison dont l'âme se perpétue grâce à ses propriétaires! La maison est décorée avec beaucoup de goût avec des objets de l'époque Renaissance. Nous avons choisi de loger dans une très belle chambre avec vue sur la vallée. La literie est de très bonne qualité et le seul bruit que l'on peut entendre est le chant des oiseaux à condition de laisser les fenêtres ouvertes. Le petit déjeuner est copieux, avec des produits régionaux, le gâteau et croissants sont faits maison (oui, les croissants aussi!). Bref, nous y reviendrons.

Un endroit hors du temps , un village magnifique.
La maison Bakea est un endroit apaisant et reposant . un hâvre magique empreint d histoire.

Madame is super friendly, let us work on our French. We didn’t take full advantage of the salon, which was spacious, comfortable, with wonderful music and beautiful antiques, because we did a lot of sightseeing in the region. The Maison Bakea is simply amazing.

Greeted by our gracious hosts, we were escorted to a magnificent bedroom chamber at the top of an original, ancient, stone staircase off an enclosed courtyard. The bedroom, great room and entry were decorated with period pieces of impeccable taste in keeping with the XIII century setting. The photos don't do it justice. Marie, our host, greeted us with a warm welcome. She gave us a tour of her treasured inn, of which she is very proud, for good reason. She is a delightful woman who wants her visitors to have a perfect stay. It was. Breakfast in the great room was delicious with a full breakfast including homemade croissants. We would love to return to this special place!

Plus qu'une nuitée et de s'y restaurer, parlons plutôt d'une expérience tellement cette maison est exceptionnelle. On remonte dans le temps, un bonheur pour les amateurs de ces époques, avec authenticité et sans pastiche, ce qui complète parfaitement ces moments à déambuler dans le magnifique village de Cordes-sur-Ciel, le regard tantôt sur les pierres, tantôt sur cette belle vallée qui nous environne. On trouve à Bakéa un précieux repos dans de belles et grandes chambres, un délicieux petit déjeuner et les moments passés dans le grand salon restent gravés dans les mémoires. Bravo aux hôtes qui ont fait avec passion de leur maison une expérience incontournable, propice à l'imagination. C'est un bonheur d'en discuter avec Marie.

We stayed here for a wedding and found everything to our taste. It is an exceptionally comfortable and beautiful B&B in a superb location. Its very clean, has good internet connection, is beautifully furnished and sympathetically renovated. Marie & Gilles gave us a warm reception and were unobtrusive and always very helpful. A tranquil house, seeped in history with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. And a very good continental breakfast! Would highly recommend.

Breakfast first class. Hosts delightful. Room with extra homely touches eg tea making, flowers, fridge for cold drinks, glasses for wine. Ambiance plus points. Historical.. use of sitters mg room and terrace just wonderful

a écrit le 31 mai 2018 à 17:37 Absolutely everything, but it’s Marie who made that possible. She made our stay amazing! In a word, Marie. Marie/ Mary, (the owner) of the Inn/B&B, has to be one of the nicest people I have ever met. Such a lovely women. She was extremely helpful including making dinner recommendations in this town as well as two others. The town was quiet as we went off season which was fabulous! We have amazing pictures of the buildings, breathtaking views, and the gorgeous narrow streets. The inn has beautiful, pristine 14th-16th century furniture. Marie even personally made most of our breakfast (croissants, preserves, a bread or cake somewhat like a pound cake but better). She treated us as though we were in our own home, and we felt very comfortable. She even recommended we stop in Albi to see the Cathedral. Albi wasn’t on our travel list, but we went, and we were not sorry. It was a magnificent Cathedral, notnto be missed.

a écrit le 31 mai 2018 à 17:34 Après plusieurs séjours dans notre région du sud ouest/est, nous pouvons dire que la "Maison Bakéa" est de LOIN la meilleure prestation que nous ayons jamais eu.
L'accueil, le cadre, la restauration accompagné du charme des hôtes sont un véritable enchantement comparé aux demeures et autres châteaux proposés par groupon ou autres weekendesk.
Mettez 50 à 100 euros de plus dans votre budget et profitez d'un cadre exceptionnel. A bon entendeurs.

Visiting La Maison Bakea at Cordes-sur-Ciel is an unique and extraordinary experience, the place is amazing: the old building, the wonderful views and the dedicated care of its Owners who are very kind, without a doubt a place to return.

Cordes sur Ciel is one of the classic, medieval hill-top bastides in the Tarn region, and true to its name often floats beneath the sky above the morning mists in the valley creating a medieval fantasy world. Completing the medieval fantasy is the Maison Bakea set in a one of a kind thirteenth century mansion set around a courtyard. The ancient building has been completely restored and furnished with antiques, most of them over two hundred years old arranged with a designer's eye. The dining and sitting room is presided over by "Charlie", a suit of armor from Spain, whom the owners were allowed to purchase only on condition that he continued to be called by his proper name in his new home in France. Each of the several bedrooms I saw was different, with unique period furnishings and modern bath facilities. Mine included a 300 year old bedstead fitted with a comfortable, modern mattress. Meals were served on the patio with a view of the valley below when the weather was good, or in the dining room under Charlie's protection when it was inclement. Marie and Gilles were wonderful hosts and obviously take great pride in their grand, old house, and the excellent meals they serve. During my trip to the Midi this spring I was privileged to stay in half a dozen other traditional inns, each of which was unique and wonderful in its own right, but the Maison Bakea topped them all.

Stunning historic house in a beautiful position. Exceptional attention to detail and exceptionally clean. Amazing sitting room.
