Excellent accueil dans une maison décoré avec beaucoup de soin.
Aucune faute à relever, même dans la musique qui accompagnait notre petit-déjeuner.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and were offered an aperitif on the fabulous terrace overlooking the magnificent valley on our arrival. We were then looked after wonderfully and would definitely recommend a majestic stay at this perfectly-preserved piece of heaven!!

We finally decided on Cordes-sur-Ciel. Was it divine inspiration? Who knows, but the choice of accommodation in this magical city was certainly divine. Looking at la Maison Bakéa from the outside it’s impossible to imagine the hidden treasures within. This 13th C building is in the process of being restored by Gilles and Marie (our welcoming and charming hosts); in the few months since they opened they have put their imprint on every room, creating an interior where the furnishings and decoration are in perfect harmony with the building’s historic past. After the obligatory gasp at our bedrooms (chambre duSénéchal and chambre du Chancelier) we sipped a sparkling Gaillac on the terrace, admiring the stunning views and dodging the swallows swooping to their nests high in the roof of the galleried interior courtyard. Our one night stay felt like a much longer break and the whole experience was such a pleasure there’s only one thing to say – don’t miss it! NB 13th C builders didn’t plan for Wi Fi with their fortress-like walls - put your phones and computers on hold, enjoy the history and relax!”
