It was really like being at a friends home!! We felt like friends of the owners. Marie is an excellent host and she told us what we could do those two days and we did follow very carefully since the indications where to eat and what to buy were absolutely great. The experience of being in a house from the XII century is and will always be unforgetable!! I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for something unic.

Marie, notre hôtesse, est exquise de prévenance. La demeure est un ancien hotel particulier magnifiquement restauré par les Compagnons il y a une trentaine d'années, comme nous l'explique Marie. La chambre allie avec goût confort et mobilier d'époque. Le salon est meublé avec raffinement de meubles antiques d'exception et curiosités diverses, chinés par nos hôtes. Il se prolonge d'une terrasse avec vue imprenable. Enfin, excellent petit déjeuner dans le salon. Merci pour ce chaleureux accueil.

La Maison es increible, la decoracion exquisita y las vistas al valle son de espectaculares. Marie, la propietaria, es encantadora y con su trato y atencion hace que te sientas un huesped especial. Desayunar en la terraza con las vistas al valle es el mejor comienzo para disfrutar de Cordes Sur Ciel, pueblo medieval donde parece que el tiempo se ha parado. Sin duda regresaremos a Maison Bakea. Gracias por la experiencia Marie.

Before heading out for dinner each evening, we enjoyed visiting with our hosts (who speak excellent English - and French, of course) and two other couples who were staying there, with wine and fruit on the outdoor terrace. These early evening moments looking out upon a nearly timeless panoramic landscape provided a peaceful respite to our travels. Built into the outer stone walls of the medieval city, the guest rooms are located up stone staircases, situated on timbered balconies that surround a brick half-timbered inner courtyard. The “front” entrance is on a very quiet pedestrianized street inside the walls and less than five minutes walk to anywhere in the old city. We had unlimited use of a shared living/dining room which was huge, beautifully furnished and arranged to provide cosy areas to relax, as well as the outdoor terrace. Breakfast was superb, including fresh espresso coffees (not pre-packaged) and fresh local baked goods and fruits. The rooms are spacious, clean and well-maintained and decorated with period-style furniture but with a fully modern and large bath. The bed and sofa in our room were comfortable, and there were plenty of power outlets. Parking is on the road located immediately to the rear of the building, with a parking fee during the day but not overnight. Our hosts provided many recommendations about the area for restaurants and villages to visit. Please note for the mobility-challenged, there are steep winding stairs and no lift. We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at la Maison Bakea and highly recommend this B&B!
a écrit le 2 novembre 2017 à 15:00 オーナー夫妻がとてもフレンドリーで素晴らしいサービス。さほど古くない（中世より後の）建物も多いコルドシュルシエルの中、歴史ある14〜15世紀の建物を上手く手入れ、改装し、アンティークの家具と相まって、チェックイン直後、街に出ず、このまま建物に居たいと思ってしまった。とてもリラックス出来ました。朝霧を観られるのは4月下旬から9月中旬までの晴れた朝。谷のみえる部屋がお勧めです。

We loved Bakéa from the welcome onwards. The property is stunningly restored and architecturally of enormous interest. We adored the views from the property which are spellbinding in the morning when the fog (the 'ciel'!) and loved our interesting and beautifully furnished room. Marie and Gilles were awesome hosts and could not have done more for us - including cooking a superb meal comprised of regional food and wines.
For us, there was nothing to dislike. Bakéa is a jewel.

Google Traduction We arrived exhausted after a long journey by plane and car and were warmly greeted by our lovely hostess, Marie. We had a tour of her gorgeous renaissance home and then settled into our beautiful room with a view of the rolling hills. Marie and her husband Gilles invited us for a glass of sparkling wine and made a reservation for us at a neaby restaurant. We couldn’t have asked for more gracious and thoughtful hosts and our two night stay at Le Maison Bakéa is a memory we will treasure always.

Obwohl spät angereist, wurden wir von der Gastgeberinn sehr herzlich in ihrem Renaissance–Haus empfangen. Die Unterkunft ist äusserst ruhig gelegen. Das Parkieren vor dem Haus geht einfach, da es sich um eine Einbahnstrasse handelt und ist dank einer Parkkarte, die wir von der Gastgeberin erhielten, gratis. Nach einer Nacht in dem von uns gebuchten Zimmer, erhielten wir ein Upgrade. Beide Zimmer waren sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, äusserst sauber und platzmässig sehr grosszügig. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Das Frühstück mit Parisette, Croissants, Käse, Aufschnitt, Kuchen, Früchten und Kaffee oder Tee á Discretion wurde uns und den anderen Gästen im Salon serviert. Wie alle Zimmer ist auch dieser mit einigen Möbeln aus der Renaissance–Zeit passend eingerichtet. Den Salon und die Terrasse, mit Sicht auf die schöne Landschaft, darf man jederzeit benützen. Marie und ihr Mann geben ihren Gästen das Gefühl willkommen zu sein. Sie geben gerne Tipps bezüglich Restaurants und Unternehmungen. „La Maison Bakéa“ bietet das bestmögliche Preis–Leistungs–Verhältnis. Die Umgebung empfehlen wir auch. Man kann sich mit kleinen Wanderungen, Spaziergängen durch das Städtchen und Besichtigungen von weiteren historischen Örtchen bestens erholen.
Alles war zu unserer grössten Zufriedenheit.

Warm and gracious hosts welcome you into their home, with a beautiful array of curated furnishings, wonderfully spacious rooms in a delightfully updated medieval townhouse. Location is perfect -- just outside the town walls, overlooking the rolling countryside, with easy parking. Marie and Giles were incredibly wonderful with sightseeing tips and restaurant choices, and her homemade croissants may well be the best we have ever tasted! I'm reluctant to give out 10's, but La Maison Bakea earned it -- much much much better than a lot of 5-star hotels!

We arrived, parked the car and entered into the beautiful, comfortable, totally updated Renaissance home. The entry level was welcoming, but not as much as the "lady of the home", a truly lovely, proud Parisian woman who runs La Maison Bakea. We were shown to our suite (maybe it was just a room but to us it was a suite). The view was breathtaking and considering it was about 98 degrees, we were greeted by fantastic air conditioning. In addition, we were provided an ice bucket, cold water along with delicious Proseco...What else could you want? The bathroom was more than adequate and the room beautifully appointed with traditional, comfy furniture. And then, there is the living room looking like you were in a Renaissance palace complete with a full suit of armour. There is a terrace off the living room where an exquisite terrace where breakfast is served!! It was adequate and delicious. The location is excelent and convenient for seeing the city. We loved our stay at La Maison Bakea!!

Agréable étape dans cette merveilleuse maison médiévale garnie de meubles d'époque dignes d'un musée. De plus les hôtes sont charmants et les petits déjeuners préparés par l'hôtesse sont absolument délicieux dont ses confitures et croissants maison!!!
